Subject: Filling up one post of
Deputy Adviser (Yoga and Naturopathy), Ministry of
Ayus h-reg.
It is proposed to fill up one post of
Deputy Adviser (Yoga and Naturopathy) in
the Ministry of Ayush, Government of
India.
2. The post is proposed to be filled
up on deputation (including short term contract)
basis. The details and eligibility
criteria for the post are given in Annexure-I.
3. The applications in duplicate
complete in all respect should reach in the

Eligibility Criteria A. Officers of
the Central Government or State Government
or Union Territory or Statutory or
Autonomous
Organizations or recognised Research
Institutions or
Public Sector Undertakings. or
Universities:
(a) (i) holding analogous post on
regular basis in the parent
cadre or department; OR
(ii) with five years' service in the
grade rendered after
appointment thereto on a regular
basis in Level-i 1 in the pay
matrix (Rs. 67700-208700) or
equivalent in the parent cadre or
department;
AND
(b) possessing following essential
qualifications and experience
as under:
I. Essential:
(a) (i) Bachelor Degree in yoga from
a recognized University or
Institute; OR
(ii) Post Graduate Degree in yoga
from a recognized University
or Institute; OR
(iii) Bachelor Degree in Yoga and
Naturopathy of five and a half
year's duration course from a
recognized University or Institute;
AND
(b) Ten years' experience required in
the field of Yoga or
Naturopathy or Yoga and Naturopathy.
IL Desirable
(a) Published at least five research
works in the form of
standard research papers in the field
of Yoga or Naturopathy in
peer-reviewed indexed national or
International Journals;
(b) Doctorate degree in Yoga or
Naturopathy from a recognized
University or Institute
7 Tenure of appointment The period of
deputation inckiding the periàd ofdeputation in
another ex-cadre post held
immediately preceding this
appointment in the same. or some
other organization or
department of the Central Government
shall ordinarily not exceed
four years.

Duties and
Responsibilities
(a) To deal with matters related to
policies concerning Yoga and
Naturopathy.
(b) To handle the cases of
propagation and publicity on the issues
related to Yoga and Naturopathy.
(c) To aid and advise the Central
Council for Research in Yoga &
Naturopathy, Morarji Desai National
Institute of Yoga and National
Institute of Naturopathy on all
matters of promotion and education
of Yoga & Naturopathy.
(d) To aid and advise the Ministry on
the issues related to
budgetary and Parliamentary matters.
(e) To advise the Central and State
Governments on all technical
matters related to Yoga and
Naturopathy in the country.
